Further to the break-in, and after inspection of the engine, it will be necessary to find the optimal regulation and to make sure of its perfect stability in functioning. A stable idling speed on a warm engine, is always very good sign. An idling speed on 2 times is the sign of too hot engine thus settled too poor in the main needle screw. The final phases of the engine adjustment are made by 1/8 of tour. Take your time...
Be aware of not to settle your engine too poor and especially not to prolong its use adjusted so. A poor adjustment is often very critical for the engine and entails irreversible damages. Watch to always have a limit rich adjustment and not the opposite.
It is also important to well-settle the pick-up of the engine to have frank and constant accelerations. An engine which restarts badly in the pick-up after a long straight line where it is in charge is settled too poor in burst. An engine which restarts badly and cuts at the pick-up in the slow part of the circuit is poor in the pick-up. It is particularly necessary to watch to have a good clutch to obtain a good adjustment. A bad clutch makes the engine adjustment more difficult and quickly tires its sleeve-piston.
